Social Innovations in Nursing: Taking the Lead to Transform Health Care

Up and Running Health's Co-Founders, Marcus Henderson and Ian McCurry, featured in special edition of the Social Innovations Journal, entitled "Social Innovations in Nursing: Taking the Lead to Transform Health Care." This special edition examines the transformational work of nurses in the U.S. through a focus on the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. This edition is designed in partnership with the Pennsylvania Action Coalition, Marcus has previously served on the Action Coalition's Advisory Board from 2015-2017.

Ian McCurry, Up & Running Health CEO, volunteered with the Red Cross following Hurricane Irma. He was assigned to largest shelter in Florida to care for nearly 1,200 patients with multiple medical and psychosocial needs.
